The One Thing That Fast-Tracked My Growth (and No, It’s Not a Course or a Hack)

This one’s going to be a little ranty, bear with me.

This one’s about something I used to overlook…
And now I swear by it:

Mentorship.

I know, I know. Sounds like aNoTher InTerNet GuRu take.

But hear me out.

A mentor doesn’t just teach you.

They remind you who you are when you forget.

And in the early stages of anything… business, fitness, money… you forget a lot.

You get overwhelmed.
You doubt your skills.
You overthink every damn move.
You question if you are even made for this.

Been there. Still there sometimes.
But here’s what helped me:

I recently made a hefty investment in mentorship. It hurt my bank account. It made me sweat a little. And the skill I’m learning is tied directly to money so every mistake costs me.

BUT….

When I felt like quitting, like “this isn’t working, maybe this isn’t for me,”
my mentor looked at my work, broke it down, pointed out what’s working and what’s not without making me feel stupid, unworthy, or like I was wasting my time.

And THAT is worth everything.

A good mentor doesn’t give you shortcuts.

They give you direction.
And most importantly, positive reinforcement when you need it most.

He told me, “Bro, you are lucky. I have been through way worse to figure this stuff out. You are fast-tracking your growth. Be patient.”

And I’m so damn grateful for that.

But here’s the disclaimer:

Even with the best mentor on the planet you still have to walk the path.
You still have to do the work.

Think Mahabharata for a second (yep, we are going there).
Both Pandavas and Kauravas had the same guru.
But both had completely different mindsets.

Pandavas followed dharma and Kauravas ignored it.
And you know the outcome.

So yeah, even the best mentor can’t save you from a trash mindset or zero execution.

If you don’t do the karma, you don’t get the results. Simple.

TL;DR:

If you can’t afford a mentor right now, no worries. Be your own.
Buy small courses. Watch content mindfully. Study people who have done what you want to do.

But when the money comes in?
Invest in guidance.

Because one solid mentor can save you years of trial-and-error.
Even if you waste money on a few mid ones, finding one great mentor is worth it.
They’ll be your guiding light in a skill you are still figuring out.

And no, this isn’t me pitching my own mentorship.
If you vibe with me and wanna join, great.
If not, go find someone else.

Just promise me you’ll stop doing this thing alone when you don’t have to.

Cheers from my mancave,
Mradul
