Note to Self (and Maybe to You Too)
This one’s a little different.
Not a lesson. Not a rant.
Just a personal note I’m writing to myself.
But I have a feeling it’ll resonate with you too… especially if you’re in that "something’s shifting but I don’t know what I’m doing" phase.
So yeah, this is a note to the current version of me:
In order to become the person you want to be…
You’ll have to kill a lot of older versions of yourself.
And if you’re not willing to let go of them?
Then growth is gonna stay stuck on pause.
Why I’m Writing This
It’s the end of the year.
The final chapter of 2025.
And I want to step into 2026 intentionally.
Not dragged along by old habits, outdated systems, or belief patterns that don’t serve me anymore.
Lately, I have been learning a ton:
– New skills
– New business systems
– New content frameworks
All of it exciting. All of it challenging.
But you know what’s been the biggest obstacle?
Me.
Specifically, the old me.
The habits and mindset that got me here…
won’t get me to the next milestone.
So the upgrade requires a hard reset.
The 5 Things I am Changing
To keep myself publicly accountable (and remind future me what needed to change), here’s the hit list:
1. Focused Agency Work
No more half-baked work sprints. I’m committing to showing up with full presence and energy when I work on the agency, not just in it.
2. Discipline in Learning New Skills
Random bursts of study don’t count. The skill I’m learning is directly tied to money. That means following the system my mentor gave me and doing it daily, even when I don’t feel like it.
3. Consistent Sleep Routine
This one’s been a mess. Sleeping at 2AM one day, then 10PM the next isn’t it. If I want my brain and body to show up, I need to treat them better. So: regular sleep, period.
4. MMA Consistency (Even While Traveling)
Yes, I have gotten better. But I want to take it further. Even on trips, I’ll find ways to move, stretch, shadowbox, something.
5. Realistic To-Do Lists
No more writing 47 things in one day and feeling like a failure. I’m committing to making achievable daily to-dos and actually completing them. Momentum over Perfection.
If You’re Going Through a Change Too…
You might be feeling weird right now.
Tired, Stressed and maybe Uncomfortable.
Maybe even questioning if this “new path” is right for you.
I feel that too.
And here’s what I’ve realized:
Change always brings chaos before clarity.
When you are evolving… when you are shedding an old identity, it’s messy.
That discomfort is the price of transformation.
You’re not broken.
You’re not lazy.
You’re just changing.
And it’s gonna feel heavy…
before it starts to feel light.
TL;DR:
You’re supposed to feel uncomfortable when you’re upgrading.
That’s how you know it’s working.
So keep going.
One small system at a time.
One mindset shift at a time.
One version of yourself at a time.
You’re not falling apart.
You’re becoming.
Let’s step into 2026 like we mean it.
