My Personal Brand foundations for 2025
Steal this to gain more Clarity!
Before diving into the foundations, here’s something important—if you’re serious about scaling your personal brand, we can help!
At Akimafilms.com, we specialize in helping founders and brands level up their production quality, grow their social presence, and save valuable time.
Feel free to reach out if you need guidance or support.
Now, if you want to take the DIY route, here’s how you can follow my example and build your foundations:
1. Who are you targeting?
Freelancers and Content Creators.
2. What do you want to talk about?
I want to share my life, freelancing, and content creation—but not just in a generic way. I’ll package these topics so they resonate with my audience while staying true to my personality.
Essentially, I want to document my life while presenting it in a way that looks cinematic and provides value.
3. Why are you building a personal brand?
To cut through the fluff around freelancing and content creation and show the real picture.
To document my journey while educating others.
To eventually build a paid community of like-minded individuals, offering courses and products to help them reach their freelance goals.
(This goal is specific to 2025—it will evolve as I grow, and that’s perfectly fine.)
4. What separates you from others?
My authenticity, experience, filmmaking, video editing, and communication skills.
5. Is personal branding worth it?
Absolutely! It’s already given me incredible connections, deals worth over $50,000, and exponential growth.
Even when I started with just a YouTube channel, personal branding:
Improved my communication skills.
Helped me overcome camera fear.
Made me a better filmmaker and editor.
Almost 80% of my achievements today are because of my personal brand (plus my ever learning attitude), and it’ll only continue to pay off.
6. What’s your financial goal with personal branding?
For this year, my target is ______ (keeping this private).
7. How will personal branding affect your life?
The only downside is the fame that comes with it.
For example, one time a subscriber stopped me after the gym to chat. While it felt great, it made me realize I don’t want this to happen frequently. To avoid this:
I’ll limit how much I share about my personal life.
I won’t reveal the faces of my close ones.
But in terms of finances, connections, and creative growth, personal branding is a huge win for me.
8. How many pieces of content can you realistically create per week?
1 long-form video
2 shorts
3 LinkedIn posts
1 newsletter
(As of now, without a team, this will scale as well)
9. Will you scale and automate your personal brand or keep it artistic?
For now, I’ll handle it myself. In the future, I’ll delegate the monotonous tasks while keeping the artistic side—like filmmaking and editing—my own.
The goal is to keep a balance between creative fulfillment and sustainability.
You can go as deep as you want, it will help you visualise better but this is a minimum viable product that you can start from.
